When should you send your wedding invitations?

A simple timeline, from save the date to the final RSVP reminder.

Send save the dates 6 to 12 months ahead, or earlier for destination weddings. The formal invitation should go out 8 to 10 weeks before the day.

Set your RSVP deadline 3 to 4 weeks before the event. That gives you time to confirm numbers with your caterer and plan seating.

A week before the deadline, send a gentle reminder to anyone who hasn't replied. With a digital invitation, you can see exactly who that is.
